Allen D. Beckner

A recognized professional with more than 30 years of experience in banking, insurance and securities, Allen D. Beckner utilizes his knowledge, skills and abilities as a Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Life Underwriter®, Chartered Financial Consultant®, Chartered Advisor for Senior Living®, Registered Employee Benefits Consultant® and Registered Health Underwriter® to provide consultation, guidance, education and assistance to clients for the goal of accumulating and managing personal wealth and distributing it in the most tax-efficient  way.

Allen is a Certified Financial Planner with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.  He advises individuals, employers, civic and charitable organizations regarding technical financial and regulatory matters relating to retirement planning, life and health insurance benefits, principles of investments, risk analysis and return computations.  He analyzes options and provides suitable alternatives from a wide range of securities to include diversified mutual funds, professionally managed accounts, fixed and variable annuities, alternative investments, individual equities and fixed income investments.  He provides guidance and implementation on estate, college, business, tax and retirement planning.

In addition to being a Board-certified financial planner (CFP®), Allen's other professional achievements include a bachelor's degree from George Mason University, along with multiple designations from The American College.  Along with his life and health and variable life and annuity licenses, Allen holds the Series 6, 7, 63, 65 and 24 securities licenses.

Allen has had a distinguished career in both the York and Scottish Rite bodies of Freemasonry.  Allen is a Master Mason and is the Valley Vice President for the Alexandria Scottish Rite.  He is a life member in perpetuity at Elmer Timberman Mason Lodge #54 and the Alexandria Scottish Rite.  He is also a member of the Shenandoah Valley Scottish Rite Club.  He is actively involved in Masonic philanthropic works to include support for the Rite Care Clinic at James Madison University (JMU), the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and scholarships for local JROTC (high school) and ROTC (college) recipients (e.g., Massanutten Military Academy, Randolph Macon Academy and JMU).
